'... Birthspirit belongs to all women and families. She manifests that which has been unsaid, expressing her self in the language of women. Knowing her fills the void that exists from the loss of story telling in our families and our communities. She enables us to see the depths - and to see the simplicity.' more About Birthspirit

Book Reviews:

From the book cover: 'For many years direct entry midwives have had to rely on medical and nursing textbooks to piece togtehter our information base. Now, with Anne Frye's books, we have our own sources. Her newest volume, Holistic Midwifery, captures the essence of the midwifery mode of care by weaving together midwifery knowledge, philosophy and clinical practice. Comprehensive, using techincial yet undersatndable language, it is an excellent resource for beginning students and seasonced practitioners. Holistic Midwifery is now a required text at Birthingway ...' Holly Scholles, Director, Birthingway Midwifery School, Portland, Oregon, USA
